Vallarta Pride 2026

Puerto Vallarta is preparing for one of its busiest LGBTQ+ weeks of the year as Vallarta Pride 2026 approaches with a theme rooted in Mexican identity. The celebration will bring events to the Zona Romántica, the Malecón, and other central spaces, but the week is also about more than nightlife. For residents, visitors, and local businesses, Pride has become part of the city’s public calendar, tourism economy, and civic identity.

Puerto Vallarta prepares for Vallarta Pride 2026

Puerto Vallarta is preparing for Vallarta Pride 2026, scheduled for May 17 to 24 under the theme “La nueva era: Un pride muy mexicano.”

The 2026 edition is expected to focus largely on the Zona Romántica, the neighborhood that has long served as the center of the city’s LGBTQ+ social life. Events are expected to include cultural activities, artistic presentations, concerts, parties, and free public gatherings.

The Pride Parade is planned for May 21. Official tourism listings place the parade at 4 p.m. on the Malecón, while local information has described the parade date as tentative as planning continues.

The week also includes a Pet Parade scheduled for May 18 at 6 p.m. in Parque Lázaro Cárdenas. More events are expected to be announced through official Pride channels as the date approaches.

For Puerto Vallarta, Pride is not a single-day event. It has become a full week of public celebration, tourism activity, and community visibility. The 2026 edition marks the event’s 13th year, giving it a longer local history than many visitors may realize.
