Member Safety

QuéPV Safety Policy and Offline Meeting Disclaimer

QuéPV is an online community created to help members connect, ask questions, share local information, and build friendships. While we encourage respectful community interaction, members are fully responsible for their own choices, communications, and decisions, including any decision to meet another member in person.

By using QuéPV, members acknowledge that online connections can involve risk and that QuéPV cannot control what happens between members outside the platform.

1. Member Responsibility

Members are solely responsible for how they interact with others on QuéPV and for any decision to communicate, share personal information, make plans, attend gatherings, or meet another member offline.

QuéPV does not arrange, supervise, verify, approve, guarantee, or monitor private meetings between members. If members choose to meet in person, they do so voluntarily, independently, and at their own risk.

2. QuéPV Is Not Responsible for Offline Interactions

QuéPV is not responsible for anything that happens before, during, or after an offline meeting between members.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal injury
  • Theft, loss, or property damage
  • Harassment, intimidation, or unwanted contact
  • Assault or threats
  • Fraud, scams, or financial loss
  • Transportation issues
  • Alcohol- or drug-related incidents
  • Unsafe locations or unsafe behavior
  • Misrepresentation by another member
  • Emotional distress or personal disputes
  • Any other harm, damage, conflict, or consequence resulting from offline contact

Members understand that QuéPV is an online-only platform. QuéPV is not a party to private conversations, personal arrangements, meetups, friendships, dates, travel plans, shared rides, home visits, business dealings, or any other offline interaction between members.

3. No Background Checks or Identity Verification

QuéPV does not conduct criminal background checks, identity verification, immigration checks, employment checks, reference checks, or personal safety screenings on members.

A member profile, message, post, photo, or community activity should not be treated as proof that a person is safe, honest, trustworthy, available, or who they claim to be.

Members should use their own judgment, take precautions, and avoid relying only on information provided through the platform.

4. Online Safety Guidelines

Members should be cautious when interacting with people they meet online. Even friendly conversations can involve risk, especially when moving from online communication to private messaging or in-person meetings.

To help protect yourself online:

  • Do not share your home address, hotel address, workplace, daily routine, financial information, identification documents, or private contact details too quickly.
  • Be careful with members who pressure you to move the conversation off QuéPV immediately.
  • Be cautious of anyone asking for money, favors, investments, loans, gifts, emergency help, or access to your accounts.
  • Avoid sending intimate photos, personal documents, or sensitive information to someone you have not met and do not fully trust.
  • Be alert to inconsistent stories, vague profiles, overly intense attention, romantic pressure, or attempts to create urgency.
  • Use the block and report features if someone makes you uncomfortable.
  • Trust your instincts. You do not owe anyone your time, attention, phone number, address, friendship, or an explanation.

5. Meeting Offline Safely

If an online friendship or conversation develops into a decision to meet in person, members should take reasonable safety precautions.

QuéPV strongly recommends that members:

  • Meet only in a public place for the first meeting.
  • Choose a location with other people nearby, such as a café, restaurant, public plaza, or busy community space.
  • Do not meet at a private home, hotel room, isolated beach, remote trail, or unfamiliar private location for a first meeting.
  • Tell a trusted friend where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return.
  • Share your live location with someone you trust.
  • Arrange your own transportation to and from the meeting.
  • Do not depend on the other person for a ride, especially at the beginning.
  • Keep your phone charged and accessible.
  • Avoid excessive alcohol or anything that affects your judgment.
  • Keep control of your drink, belongings, wallet, phone, and documents.
  • Leave immediately if you feel uncomfortable, pressured, unsafe, or unsure.
  • Meet during the day when possible, especially for a first meeting.

A safe meeting should feel voluntary, public, respectful, and easy to leave.

6. Group Meetups and Member-Organized Events

Members may sometimes discuss or organize informal meetups, outings, meals, walks, beach days, events, or other activities. Unless QuéPV clearly states in writing that an event is officially organized by QuéPV, these activities are private arrangements between members.

QuéPV is not responsible for member-organized meetups, event planning, venue safety, transportation, costs, injuries, cancellations, disputes, or any issues that occur during or after those activities.

Members who attend informal meetups do so at their own risk.

7. Private Homes, Stays, Rides, and Personal Arrangements

Members should use extra caution before entering private homes, inviting someone into their home, accepting rides, sharing accommodations, lending money, hiring someone, buying something, or entering into any private arrangement with another member.

QuéPV does not verify, guarantee, supervise, or take responsibility for:

  • Home visits
  • Shared rides
  • Travel plans
  • Roommate arrangements
  • Couch stays or lodging
  • Dating or romantic meetings
  • Purchases or sales
  • Paid services
  • Volunteer arrangements
  • Pet sitting, house sitting, or caregiving
  • Any personal agreement made between members

Any such arrangement is made entirely between the individuals involved.

8. Reporting Safety Concerns

Members should report harassment, threats, scams, suspicious behavior, unwanted contact, or safety concerns to the QuéPV team.

QuéPV may review reports and take action when conduct violates community rules, including removing content, restricting accounts, or banning members. However, QuéPV is not a law enforcement agency, an emergency service, a private investigator, a mediator, or a legal authority.

If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate authorities.

9. Emergency Situations

QuéPV should not be used as an emergency response tool. If you believe you are in danger, have been threatened, have been assaulted, are being followed, or need urgent help, contact emergency services immediately.

Members are responsible for knowing how to seek emergency help in their location.

10. No Guarantee of Safety

QuéPV works to maintain a respectful online community, but no online platform can guarantee that every member is safe, honest, respectful, or acting in good faith.

Use of QuéPV does not guarantee personal safety, successful friendships, trustworthy interactions, or positive offline experiences.

Members are responsible for protecting themselves, setting boundaries, exercising caution, and making decisions appropriate for their own safety.

11. Enforcement

QuéPV may remove members who use the platform to harass, threaten, deceive, exploit, scam, pressure, or harm others. Reports of serious misconduct, whether online or connected to offline interactions between members, may result in immediate removal from the community.

QuéPV reserves the right to ban any member whose behavior poses a risk, undermines trust, or violates the community’s safety standards.

12. Agreement to This Policy

By using QuéPV, members agree to be responsible for their own interactions and decisions. Members understand that any offline meeting or personal arrangement with another member is voluntary and undertaken at their own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuéPV is not liable for harm, loss, injury, damage, misconduct, or consequences resulting from communications, meetings, or relationships between members outside the platform.

This policy should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before publication, especially if QuéPV will operate as a membership platform with private messaging, events, or location-based meetups.
